Moonlight Fans Sink Teeth into Campaign
Wednesday May 21, 2008

When CBS
announced their 2008-09 schedule, fans of the vampire series
Moonlight were devastated when they learned their beloved show had been
canceled. Although it's
extremely rare that a network would reconsider a cancellation after their upfront presentation has been delivered, those
dedicated fans aren't about to sit back and let their favorite vampire spend eternity in his coffin.
Moonlight Campaign
This weekend is the first annual
Moonlight convention (
MoonlightCon) at The Westin Hotel in Los Angeles, but due to the recent cancellation, campaigners have organized a rally outside the Warner Bros. gate at the corner of North Pass and West Olive streets on
Friday, May 23rd at 2:00 pm PST. In addition to the rally, campaigners also spent a tremendous amount of money to purchase ads in
Variety and
The Hollywood Reporter. Their intentions are to both thank the cast and crew for creating this wonderful series, and prove to other networks that if they picked-up the series, an intensely loyal fan base is prepared to follow the show anywhere. Visit the
campaign site for more info.

Jim Walsh may have been the perfect father figure on the original
90210, but the contemporary version will have a dad that will have most women viewers swooning! The recently canceled
Women's Murder Club certainly didn't keep
Rob Estes out of work for long -- the hunky actor (and former
Melrose Place star) has just signed on to play the role of
Harry Mills on the CW's fall series
90210.
More 90210 Casting News....
Rumor has it that
Tori Spelling is in negotiations to reprise her role as Donna Martin-Silver on the new series. Could David Silver be far behind? I wouldn't count on it as Brian Austin Green has already signed on for season two of Fox's
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
90210 First Look
90210 is easily the most buzzed about new series and now viewers have a chance to finally get a little glimpse at what lies ahead this fall:

The regular television season is almost over, but a whole crop of new and returning dramas are headed to a small screen near you in less than two weeks.
It has become tradition over the last few years for cable networks such as TNT, USA and ABC Family to air their series during the summer months. Viewers have come to anxiously anticipate the
return of their perennial favorites without having to worry about Tivo overload. While many of the new summer show big networks tend to fail in the off-season, the cable networks seem to draw impressive ratings during this time of year. Why? I haven't quite been able to figure this phenomenon out just yet, but perhaps it's the quality and/or the creative freedom the cable networks have over the big guys.
